LEATHER DESIGNER Responsible for CUIR DECO.

Leather is in Pierre-Marie Dufour's blood.

Born into a family of tanners, he grew up with the scent of leather in the leather goods business run by his mother. With tradition firmly in his genes, he turned to design. Trained by Hermès' Production Director, he acquired remarkable know-how and all the secrets of the trade.

After some fifteen years working with the big names in French leather goods and footwear, this designer-modeler was drawn to interior design. He specialized in the custom creation of the famous fauteuil-club. He perfected a patented patina technique, before crafting timelessly charming little jewels according to the rules of the art.

A lover of the material and a creator at heart, this ebullient designer didn't stop there, and set out to make leather a decorative material in its own right. His idea: to dress floors and walls in this soft, refined material.

To counter certain preconceived ideas, PMD set out to demonstrate the resistance of its leathers to all tests. After numerous trials and tests, PMD was able to meet the necessary technical constraints while maintaining the aesthetic quality of the material. This research resulted in the development of two references, one with a contemporary, grained look, the other revealing the naturalness of the smooth, shaded material.

He has won over a prestigious clientele, even designing international branches for a famous jeweller. White leather flooring. With the complicity of Aki Kuroda.

Not to mention majestic creations for royal families in DUBAI and BAHRAIN, as well as private customers seduced by the product's authenticity and originality.

The CUIR DECO team now offers several ranges of leather upholstery in a wide range of colors, and is always on the lookout for new ways to embellish its creations with laser engraving, mother-of-pearl inlays, ceramics, embroidery, relaxing tiles, washbasins and tablecloths.

It's a real pleasure to walk on leather, and let yourself be seduced by the hushed atmosphere it exudes.
